Electric Co-op Mural Progress #10

My husband watched the three older kids today while I went to paint the mural.  Ian came with me, and he was so sweet!   He just enjoyed the noise of the cars passing by and the wind blowing past his face.  He was very happy the whole time, so I was able to get a lot accomplished. If he was older, I would have bought him an ice cream cone for being such a sweetheart.

I am not sure whether it's noticeable in the pictures how much was done, but I feel like I'm actually getting somewhere now and the finish line isn't too far away now!    Hurray!

Here are two pictures of the mural as a whole, from different angles:

I have worked on filling in the rest of the dirt below, and then removed some of the fence posts (there were too many there), and added their shadows and barbed wire:

Worked on the sign some more...this seems to be very time consuming even though it's such a small area.
Believe me, doing lettering on brick is not an easy task.  I would rather do anything else, I think.

If you look below the dirt, you can see that I've added grass to the foreground.

I've also been adding some highlights and finishing the crop field area as well, although this is time consuming as well.  Hopefully it won't be too much longer before it's finished!    You can't tell in the picture, but I added detail and highlights to the power poles, and when the background of the mural is finished, I'll be adding the lines, and will be closer to being finished with this.   I've also added shading to the grass and to some of the dirt in the crops, to try to give it some depth. It still needs more work, but it takes time!

By the way, I have gotten a lot of emails and comments and haven't been able to respond, but I will as soon as I get some extra time.  I hope I don't seem rude by not responding right away.

Hope these updates aren't totally boring! haha
