Minimalism Challenge 6
I found another blog which has a "10 things challenge", where each week you go through your house and remove 10 things that you do not need anymore, and give them away- then to share with each other what you were able to remove. Awesome idea for it to be a group effort, as that is very motivating!
And doing it with baby steps is a good idea too (especially if you've already done the initial purging and are having a hard time finding what else to get rid of - or even if you're beginning the purging process and you don't know quite where to begin).
I think I'd like to do this, and challenge any interested reader to find 10- 20 items from around your house this week, and give it away, then write a list of what you removed from the house and post it below. That's all. So much easier than finding a hefty sack of clothes or large tub of books. (Although, if you want, you could count either of those things as an item in the challenge).
You could even write a blog post about it, with pictures, and link it below too. *Hint hint* I'll post pictures of mine when I have it all together!
Here is the link to the 10 things challenge post that gave me the idea.
Anyone want to participate? It'll be fun!
Oh, and another thought- the things you collect don't have to go anywhere in particular, of course. You could do freecycle, craigslist, salvation army, goodwill, or even just give it to a close friend or something...whatever works for you!

Okay, you got me into this now! I got rid of 68 pieces of clothing from just my clothes today! Which I have some really cute things you might like...call me!

That sounds like a good idea. It might even help to make me more considerate of what I buy and bring into the house knowing that 10 things are leaving.

Hi, are you doing freezer cooking anymore? I really enjoyed your old posts on that!

I'm sorry I haven't posted about Once a Month Cooking anymore lately. Ever since I got pregnant and found out I had gestational diabetes, I've tried to reduce the amount of carbs that I eat (simple carbs, anyway), and the problem with OAMC is that it is almost all carbs...so that's not something I can do anymore, unless I can figure out good tasting low carb meals that can be frozen and reheated successfully. I'll be sure to post about it again if I ever do OAMC again!
