Electric Co-op Mural Progress #8

I haven't posted an update in a little while, but I've been working on this mural every chance I get.

Here is what it looked like a few days ago:

And, I don't know if you can tell much, because it was late when I took this picture (I worked on it last night with James' help from about 5:00- 7:30 PM), but we used a light blue wash over the top of the trees in the background and the grass, to make them appear far away.

Today, I brought the kids with me again while I painted. They worked on their homework in the car while I painted, and Ian got to sit outside in a swing and watch me work.

Here is sweet little Ian sitting in his swing and being patient with me as I worked. He seemed to be enjoying the sunshine!

After a while of working, he was tired of being in the swing, so I put him in the Ergo carrier.  Even though that boy is almost 20 pounds, he still feels great in that thing!   It's so comfortable.

And he really has grown to love being in there... (pictures of me and Ian courtesy of my little photographer, Bonnie!)

Here is what I worked on while I was there today...

You would be surprised how difficult it is to paint something on a brick surface, especially when it's a smaller image, like this one.  It frustrates me that it is impossible to draw a straight line or make everything look like I want it, but I think this should be "okay".

After all, it's going to be so far away, most people won't even notice it at all.... LOL   This is a really big wall.

Anyway, that's how much I've got worked on so far....I'm hoping it won't be much longer before I can call this finished, but there is still so much to do with it!     I'll just keep posting updates till it's finished!

I just realized having seen the photo of you painting (which I've never seen before I guess because usually you're the one taking the photos) that you're a LEFTY! I'm a lefty too! That explains your great creativity (I've had so many people tell me that lefties are more creative than right handers), you are, but I'm not really, not like you are anyway. That mural is awesome! Another great mural, Bethany! I am totally impressed at your talents!
