About Me
Hi! My name is Bethany...I am a born again Christian, and a homeschooling mom who is somehow fortunate enough to be married to the sweetest man in the world... I have five kids that some days drive
me crazy and other days are sweet little angels. I'm sure you other moms out there can relate! My husband's name is James and my kids are Caleb (10), Bonnie(9), and Noah(5), Ian (1), and Annah (born
August 4, 2011). I also have 2 precious blessings who are now in Heaven. You can see a little bit about who I am at my about the artist
page on my drawing site. I've been married since 1998. I love every moment of being a mom, and as you can probably tell from my blog, I just love arts and crafts of any kind! Please feel free to
post a comment to let me know you were here! It always makes my day to hear from someone! Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

I love your work and your beautiful family too! Such darling babies. Thanks for sharing them. I do have a question, when you do a mural, how and what do you use to prep the building? Do you use some kind of sealing coat after you finish? I would so love to learn how to do this, it looks like so much fun. To be able to create something that will be seen and enjoyed by so many. I think I would be a bundle of nerves until it was finished! Reply to this

What I said was, I am ALWAYS a bundle of nerves before beginning something like this. I can't shake the feeling that I'm going to make a disaster of it, and make a fool of myself. Somehow, the murals have worked out in the past, but I always seem to think, "This will be the one I ruin". LOL
In answer to your questions, I have not used any sealant...I was planning on it originally, but the people who sold the paint said it wouldn't be necessary. The paint I bought was Benjamin Moore Exterior Acrylic paint, and it is supposed to last 20 years or more of weathering.

I have only prepped one building so far, and it was this one:

I painted it white (with the above mentioned paint), and then painted the mural on top of that coat.
I hope this helps,...let me know if you have any more questions!
