High School Mural #2
There was a change of plans - the people in charge of this mural decided that the location wasn't right for children to paint on, so they asked that I go ahead and paint it myself. I don't have much more time before my due date (April 18), so I really had to get started right away if I wanted to have time to complete it!
Today was 85 degrees and wow- that is HOT when you're just standing there painting a mural. I probably drank 2 gallons of water while I was there.... lol... I painted for about 6 hours, and ended up getting sunburns on the backs of both of my legs. If it had only been a little cooler, I could have gotten a lot more accomplished...maybe tomorrow will be cloudier- there wasn't a cloud in the sky today, but tomorrow there might be. I can only hope!
Here are progress pictures from the mural (sorry if you're all getting tired of seeing mural updates- seems like that's all I've been doing lately!):

And a closeup...this is what it looked like when I decided to leave. I was there from about 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

you're amazing to be doing this at almost full-term.
i must say i'm dead curious about the signs in front of the mural though...does it say "ageless tanning parking only" or am i blind?? i'm stumped!

Yes, unfortunately those are in the way! We are hoping that the people who own that business will be willing to take the signs down and maybe find an alternative way to mark their parking spots.

Bethany, Bethany, Bethany!!!! SUNBLOCK!! (remember that next time, ok? Sunburn is not good, and DOES cause skin cancer) Be sure to drink LOTS of water until the burn goes away.
My sister who was a tanning babe in her teens, was diagnosed last year (at the age of 38) w/skin cancer. Luckily they got it all, but every 6 months she has to see an oncologist for a re-check.
Anyways, enough of that.... you did an awesome job!!!!

I barely ever go outside except to do these murals, and this is only my second sunburn in my life. LOL The last one I had was when i was at the beach a couple of years ago. Fortunately, I usually just tan because i'm dark complected but I think I overdid standing in the sun yesterday. Today I'm planning on waiting till it gets a little later before working on the mural, that way it wo'nt get so hot.

Like Dee, I was amused by the Ageless tanning signs. Hilarious placement!
Anyhow, your work is so cool...the pillars look 3D which rocks!

This is absolutely amazing! In only 6 hours? It would have taken me days, if not weeks
