Another City Mural
As the paper article in the last blog post mentioned, I began painting another mural today- this time, just an outline for local school kids to paint. I thought that maybe I could paint the building itself in two days, but I worked 10 1/2 hours today and managed to finish it all today! I couldn't believe it. It was a lot of work but very much worth it.
And tomorrow, I was asked to paint a banner above the painting (it's a historic school building) that says "C*ullman's First High School". I think that I should be able to do that within a few hours tomorrow, hopefully!
This time while I was painting, many people stopped by to say hi and to ask about the mural. I think this happened more than last time because there was actually a place to drive in and park- the other place I painted didn't really have a good place to do that.
Many of the visitors had read the article in the paper....some of them hadn't but were curious to know what I was doing and why. There was one older man who kept coming by to take pictures of my progress. It was very nice getting to talk to different people from around town. Everyone is so friendly.
The people who work in the building I was painting were also so nice...they asked me to eat lunch with them and kept coming out and offering me water or extra snacks just in case I was hungry.
I felt right at home there.
From 9:00 in the morning until 3:00 PM, I drew grid lines using sidewalk chalk onto the wall. Unfortunately, you can't really see these in the picture because they are so light comparing to everything else. Drawing the grid lines can be a pain and tiring, but once they are done, it helps so much in getting the painting proportional!
This is a picture from after I had finished painting grid lines and began painting the mural itself.

I was petrified the entire time that I had the measurements all wrong- and that the whole school could not possibly fit within the grid I had drawn. But as I kept working on it, I found that there was room for everything and it worked out great!

I know, I know..this is probably NOT the correct way to get off of a scissor lift, but I found it so much easier than trying to climb down the ladder....

At about 6:00 PM, this is how the building was looking, and it was almost complete. Just had to work on the right side some more. That took another hour.

And here's what it looked like when I finished it...around 7:30 PM.

Wow, Bethany, how many more murals??? Are you taking any time for yourself? I know you probably want to get everything done before the baby comes...
Well, just remember that you DO need rest!
By the way, the school mural looks GREAT! You are so talented.
God bless you.

I usually dreamt about high academic grades, but,did not know the way to get that. Thus, one my good friend proposed to buy the research papers from the essay writing services and it worked. At the moment, I have got great compare and contrast essays.
