The Answer

Those who guessed "moth" for the below post were correct- and a lot of you got it!    This was a really large moth that I had found a couple of months ago at my sister's house and gave to Bonnie.   It's amazing how furry they are up close. 





Next time I do one of these, I'll have to make it harder!   I knew I shouldn't have included the antenna!

    When I was growing up I knew some boys who were butterfly collectors and the Luna moth was like the Holy Grail to them. One even set up an elaborate trap involving a blacklight to get his prize for his collection box.
