Morning Sickness Has Finally Begun!

This morning, I was in the middle of trying to fix myself some eggs, because I was feeling super hungry. I had postponed making them till I felt too hungry to ignore it anymore.  That was a mistake!

While they were cooking, I started to have dry heaves, and they were AWFUL!     To get them to stop, I forced myself to eat a couple of cheerios from a bag the kids had left open on the table...it's the weirdest thing how when you feel like that, eating something is very, very difficult. I had to really work hard to get myself to swallow it. lol

Since they couldn't immediately get into my stomach, I had more dry heaves afterwards, but I think once the cheerios got into my stomach it helped alleviate it a bit.   I stirred the eggs and then took another few cheerios.    The nausea was then finally gone and I ate my eggs.

Although I hate the feeling of throwing up or having dry heaves, the presence of morning sickness was a blessing because I have the comfort of knowing the baby is doing well!

I am going to try the advice from this website here....I've never tried legumes as a cure for morning sickness, but I'll try anything once!

    Hi Bethany,
I am so glad to hear that the pregnancy is going well and that even you have morning sickness. (lol)

Ginger helped me a lot when I was sick. I would drink ginger ale and eat crackers.

    Hang in there....hugs

Try smelling a lemon or get some lemon drop or lemonhead candies to eat. It worked for me.

I took extra vitamin B-12 and B-6 while I was preggo and I only had a few bouts of nauseua. It was only after I had the baby that I heard those vitamins are in those preggy Pops that are suposse to help morning sickness. Always ask your doc though! But things worked out for me!

Bethany, I haven't checked in for a while and didn't know you were pregnant! CONGRATULATIONS! I was very sick with both my kids, and it was a good sign for me--a "baby-sticking" sign "The Morning Sickness Companion" book helped me, along with Taco Bell burritos--don't know why, but I've heard TB burritos have helped others as well. Best to you!
