100 Dollar "Bet"
This morning, Caleb and Bonnie came running into the livingroom to tell me something. They've been thinking about babies a lot since they found out I am pregnant.
Caleb said, "Mom, Bonnie said that she'd bet me 100 dollars that she will pay when she's grown up if she's wrong about something, and I know she's wrong about it, but you have to help me prove it to her."
Bonnie was giggling and said, "I know I'm right about it and mom will prove that to you."
Caleb said, "Well, I know she's wrong but Bonnie said that you can have a baby if you're not married. I know that isn't even possible!"
I stood there thinking, okay, how do I answer this one? I looked at them as they were looking at me and waiting for a response, and finally said, "Well, yes, it is possible, but it's not a good idea."
Caleb opened his mouth really wide and said, "What? I'm wrong? But how can it happen?"
Bonnie laughed and said, "haha Caleb, you owe me 100 dollars when you grow up!"
Caleb said, "How? How is that even possible? How can someone have a baby and not even be married??"
I said, "Well, that's something we'll talk about when you're a little bit older."

LOL, thanks for the chuckle. As I was reading I thought maybe it was something far worse about how they are born or something lol. I wonder if he'll remember to pay her when he's "all grown up" lol

What a funny story. That will be a good one to keep for when your son is older. But then, Bonnie may not let him forget it either since he will owe her money! LOL
