Told the Kids!
This morning, James and I got the kids together, and James said, "What would you think about having a baby brother or sister soon?"
The kids looked around at each other and said, "But we already have one!"
I said, "Another one...a new baby."
They looked confused, so James said, "Well, you're going to have one soon because mommy has a baby in her tummy!"
Their eyes all got wide and Bonnie seemed the most excited...she said, "Really! Oh wow!!"
Caleb said, "She's PREGNANT!? Wow!" He seemed really happy and surprised.
Noah was the only one who didn't seem happy about the new information. He snuggled up to daddy and we said, "Noah, what do you think? Isn't it exciting that we're going to have another baby in the house?" He shook his head "no" and buried his head in daddy's lap. I think he still wants to be the baby, and is a little bit jealous! lol
After a while though, he got excited about the idea. Bonnie told me that she wanted to name the baby. She asked me how tall the baby would be. What the baby looks like now. How long will it be before they can see the baby, etc.
She's even drawing pictures right now of babies. lol

Oh, how cute! Tachable moment, isn't it? Babies, especially their little sibling! I'd be so excited to get out the books and teach them about unborn baby development!

It is always exciting to tell the kids when a new baby is on the way. I am so happy for you and your family. You are still in my prayers.

Bethany, what wonderful news! I've been a bit absent from Blogland as many of my relatives are on Facebook, and that's been such a distraction. But I will be sure to check back to keep up with your baby bump!
