Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A

I've been working on some costumes for the kids- I want them to participate in the Cow Appreciation Day at Chick Fil A, which will be on July 10.  If you go there dressed as a cow on that day (adults included), you will get a free combo meal!

I wanted the kids to come looking similar to these cows:

At first, I was going to dress the kids as cows, and make them the signs just like the cows above, but then I thought- why not just paint it on the shirts as well as the spots? So that's what I did.   I think it ended up looking pretty good!

The shirts in order are for Caleb, then Noah, then Bonnie (who has an udder!) lol

I used some burlap strings to create the tails, then sewed them on the shirts.

I'm now trying to figure out how I'm going to do the legs. I went to the dollar store, and to a thrift store to try to find white shorts or pants for the costumes, but I couldn't find any.   I guess I could either sew some of my own, using a sheet for the fabric, or I could use white tights for Bonnie....Oh I don't know. I'm still brainstorming.

If you want to participate in Cow Appreciation Day, please visit the site at this link.  It provides you with a mask and other such things that you might want for your costume- and gives you inexpensive ideas for making your costume.   Also, there is a photo contest that you can enter to win many, many prizes...including a free digital camera and 52 free Chick Fil A meals!
