Boys and Their Video Games

Something cracked me up this morning.  I just had to share this.

Boys seem to have an entirely different language than girls. When my daughter writes letters to her friends, she writes things like, "hi! How are you? I like butterflies and kitties.  What is your favorite color", etc.   That, I can understand. It translates just fine for me.

This morning, I saw an email from Caleb's friend, Thane... it was in reply to an email Caleb had apparently sent the other day. Here's how the conversation went:

Caleb writes:

"where is the power source for the ufo in astroknights?

to:thane

the end!!!!!"
*************************

Thane's reply:

"Tell me what you have done and what you have first.

Thane"
*************************

Then Thane writes again:

Go to the place with a bird, then go to the end of the room and push the wall.
then go through the tiny place then click on the robot then it will self destruct.
Go to the end of the cell, click on the owl, click on the green fuel rod.  Go back to the UFO and X 56 coordinates and Y is 51, I think (or the opposite.)

When you can, tell me how to slay the dragon, please.

Thane

*******************

I just thought it was pretty funny.  I think they were talking about their favorite online game, Poptropica. At least THEY understood what they were talking about.

Isn't it funny...that's about all that my son thinks about...as far as I can tell. We make him go outside and play and he often pretends he is in the game on his adventure...crazy!
