Mega Man Shirt for Caleb

Caleb really liked the fish shirt that I made for his Uncle, and requested his own shirt with Mega Man on it (Mega Man is his favorite video game character) .

I think I might start making these painted shirts and selling them on Etsy- they're so much fun to do... I won't be able to do copyrighted characters to sell, but there are plenty of other things I can paint and sell.

If you have any ideas, please pass them along. I might end up using them.

I would so love to be able to purchase one!

I have an idea, you do such beautiful work, could you, I mean,if I could send you a picture and if you could paint that picture onto a T-shirt, that would be amazing. You see we live so far away from my husbands parents, they never get to see thier only grandchild, and a Tshirt like that would be a perfect present for the holidays!

It might be a little more difficult painting a portrait on a shirt, but it's worth a try.

    Bethany,
Any idea how much you would charge for a T-shirt? I loved the fish one. My brother loves to fish and I used to get him a fish shirt every year.

I think you could do some neat shirts with a homeschooling flavor. I mean I think it would be fun to have matching shirts for field trips etc. Just an idea.

Megan, I guess I'd charge 15 dollars for a shirt like that, or maybe 20 if it was something with a little more detail. A persons portrait, on the other hand, might take several hours or even days(because getting a face right is difficult) so I would probably charge the same as I would charge for a regular portrait if I was going to do that. But anything like animals, cartoon characters, etc, would be in the range of 15- 20 dollars.

That is a GREAT idea about homeschooling shirts!

Your blog is amazing. Ilove it because you remind us that we should appreciate every moment of our life and that family is the greatest gift. I like your crafts immensely. And the idea with T-shirts is very nice. I couldn't even imagine that it is possible to make such things at home. As for me I'm also fond of making things with my own hands but unfortunately I find liittle time for it. I find a lot of books with lots of ideas at the files search engine http://rapid4me.com . I think that may be useful to you. And as for the T-shirts I think you may prepare a range of T-shirts for some holiday. It will be a very precious present when a person knows that it is the only one and is made only for him or her (you can write the name of the person who'll get it). I wish you good luck with your nice ideas.
