Update on Me

I haven't been posting much lately...it seems like there's always so much to be done, and so little time to do it all!

I've got a lot of portraits I've been working on and sending out...been trying to keep up with the housework and the homeschooling...and last week I found out that that building I want to paint is definitely the one the Chamber of Commerce is going to be letting me do, so I've been working on planning for it.  That's a really big task, and is going to take me a while to complete.  They said that it would probably be about a month before everything is approved- and that is actually a very short amount of time considering how much planning is going to go into it.

I've decided that I'm going to use a grid to plan this out.... so here are two sheets of grid paper which I taped together, and I've got the outline of the building.  Each one of those tiny squares (1/4 inch) represents one square foot on the wall.  That's how large it is!

I've decided I may take Caleb and Bonnie with me while I'm painting it. They can help me and learn a lot from it. If they do come, it will be their very first summer vacation from school, as they homeschool year round. I'm sure they'll appreciate that. lol   As for Noah, my mom will probably watch him, and I might hire some other people to help. I will be working on it in the summer time which means it'll get really hot, so I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to manage to do this without getting me or the kids overheated. I'll probably work a little bit in the morning, till about lunch time or so...take a break until it's almost evening and go back till dark.   That way I'm not there in the hottest part of the day.

In other news, I somehow managed last week to chip my molar tooth on the right side...it's been really painful and I was worried that I might have a cavity, but found today that there was a chip in my tooth. So I will have to go to the dentist (something I dread) and get it fixed.   I'm thankful it's nothing more (at least, to my knowledge).

Another thing, my sister and a friend of mine's husband are working together to completely redesign my website, Bethany Kerr Fine Art.  I am really, really looking forward to it. It's going to be so much easier to navigate, less cluttered, and really nice!  I'll be sure to post the link when it's done.
