I went to the Chamber of Commerce today, and got to speak with the lady who is over Tourism... she seemed very happy about the idea of having the mural painted on the building in town - and in fact, she said that it was a coincidence that I was even bringing it up because recently they had been discussing having murals around town made- she said she was almost sure that that particular building actually came up before! - , and they had even discussed having someone restore some of the old faded mural signs that are around.    (So even if I don't get to do this job, I might have something else!)

We had a great talk and she looked at my artwork...she said that she would talk to the head of the Historical department next week ,and would have her call me next week.   She said that they would probably be able to provide the scaffolding for me, as well as fund the project up to about $3000.00, which would definitely cover the costs of the materials I need!   Not only this, but I wouldn't even need to convince the building owner- they would do that for me!

So I'm pretty excited!  I can't wait to hear from them next week.
