Another Bird Mobile
Some of you who have been reading here for a while may remember the bird mobile I made before. A friend of mine is actually having a birthday next week and I wanted to make her something unique, and decided to go with the bird mobile!
I love this pattern...it's from the blog, "Spool"...it's so easy! The only difficult part of making the bird mobile is trying to find a balance when you attach them to the sticks.
The pattern only has 2 pieces to cut for each bird. They are super easy and fun to sew.
Here are my birds before they were stuffed.

And then stuffed...

I used a hot glue gun to attach the birds, and fishing line to hang them. It almost looks like they're suspended on nothing!

To balance the birds and keep them from flipping over, I threaded a piece of the fishing line and stuck it through a few of the birds, from the bottom of the belly to the top of the head. It helped to hold them in their upright position.

Hello little birdies.

Just hanging out!

I am planning on making another bird mobile this week too, if I can manage to find the time!
