Cat Training Update #1
Remember my cat toilet training post? I only today was able to really start, because I realized the day I posted that before that I did not have FLUSHABLE cat litter. I was using the clay kind. So I waited till I finally got a chance to get to the store, and bought some flushable litter today.
This whole week, I have been getting the cat used to the idea of using the litter box in that bathroom that we're using for training Lucky. She has no problems using it instead.
Today, I took out her litter box, and left the toilet seat cover, with the new flushable litter.. Then I put the cat in the bathroom for about 2-3 hours. I wasn't sure whether to expect her to try to go on the floor, or to just hold it in, or what.
After the couple of hours, I saw the cat pawing at the bottom of the door and meowing, trying to get out. So I opened the door, looked inside, and there was a mess on the top of the toilet where the cat had been pawing at it to cover up her mess. She left a little poo in it. I was so surprised. That was faster than I expected!
What I'm going to do is let the cat get used to this new arrangement, till she is very used to going on that toilet. Maybe 1 week will do. Then I am going to take the center ring out. I hope this works! Will keep you updated.

Nice! It's cool also that you have a rarely used bathroom that you can donate to the cat.
