Where Do Bad Doggies Go?

We live in a rural area, and my next door neighbor has four extremely annoying little Rat Terrier dogs (four of them), who are very small and bark hysterically at anything that moves.  Every time that I pull my car out of the driveway, these four irritating dogs take a running dive straight for the front of the car, caring very little about the fact that they could easily get killed this way.

It's not just me that is pestered by these tiny little dogs. Every day, I usually can hear car horns honking at these dogs throughout the day, because they just won't stay away from people

The really aggravating part is that because they are so small, you can't see exactly where they are when they run in front of the car.  I can just imagine myself accidentally running over one and killing it.

This afternoon was the same old story: The dogs spotted me pulling out of the driveway, and started running as fast as their tiny legs will take them, dived to the front of the car, barking insanely at me, and I slowed down and honked at them.  I muttered to myself, "Those aggravating dogs. When will they ever learn?"

Caleb replies, "Yeah, those dogs are going to end up in doggy heaven one day if they keep this up."

To which Bonnie chirped , "Why not doggie hell? After all, they have been really bad."

I couldn't help but laugh at that one!

****

Edited to add: I know I was a little harsh on these little doggies. I don't actually mind them so much, except when they get in front of the car.  I'm just so afraid I'm going to hit them one day!   And I thought Bonnie's comment was so unexpected and funny I just had to post about it!  :d

    Hi There,

First I'll say that I love your site and love getting e-mails letting me know that you've updated. :O)

Now to your update of today...I have to come to the defense of those poor little JRTs. Please understand that they are only dogs and rely on their (seemingly irresponsible) human to take care of them, meet their needs and see that they are kept safe. Dogs are like children; they have to be taken care of.
I'm a foster mommy (for dogs) and have a JRT myself right now and know how rowdy and annoying they can be. I also know how loving and loyal they can be.

I agree with Caleb and will say that "ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN"!!

Thanks for letting me have my say.

I am sorry that your neighbor is irresponsible. He/she will be responsible for the injury/death that the dogs will suffer.

I am also sad for the people in the neighborhood who have to put up with the aggravation of these animals running wild. I am also sad for the person(s) who might accidentally kill the dog(s) because of the irresponsible owner.

Hmmm, I didn't find it too harsh of a post, but I suppose I am quite harsh myself. When I rant, I let loose. :p

There are TOO MANY dog owners like this. If you can't properly care for and control an animal, don't own one! In general, people shirk responsibilities like this all the time.

I wish I had a dog! My future father-in-law owns a shelty, and he is the sweetest, cutest dog ever! So endearing! Dogs can be a joy when they're dealt with properly.

    Laura,
My parents have a Sheltie too!

    Bethany,
This reminds me of a dog I see every once in awhile when I am on my way to Dan's. He/she sits right next to the highway and when a car comes by he/she jumps up and starts to chase the car. Not only am i worried that I will hit and kill this dog but am afraid that i will swerve, or someone will swerve to avoid hitting the dog and cause an accident.

Hi, we have seven dogs and six children. I don't know exactly how that happened. But anyway, we have a little white furball that acts "bad" sometimes. So I would really like to know where bad dogs go so I can use it on her.
