Just Some Rambling about my "Birthiversary"
Yesterday was my birthday... I turn 28. It turns out this is fine with me
because last year I thought I turned 28 and I was actually 27. So all
year long I thought I was one year older than I was!
lol It's actually like turning a year younger.
The kids woke me up yesterday morning by placing these cards on my face:

On the inside of Caleb's card (left), he had drawn a picture of Dr Pepper, then it said [dr pepper] +5 = Your age. (Because Dr Pepper has 23 flavors. lol). He also had drawn a picture of me blowing out a cake with 28 candles.
The inside of Bonnie's said "Happy birthday mommy, and I love you!!!"
This year, I was surprised how many emails I got wishing me a happy birthday. Thanks for all the kind words.
My brother, Kevin, even paid me a visit- something that doesn't happen very often! He just recently was engaged, and he brought his fiancee with him so I could meet her. (Congratulations Kevin and Lauren!)
Kevin even made me a cake from scratch, with buttercream frosting. It was really good. (He's a great cook). After he came over, my mom took me to Goody's and bought me some jeans and boots.
About 5:00, I finally was able to see my husband- I haven't mentioned it here but from Sunday till Wednesday, he had to be in Georgia to work, so I had been missing him a lot. I stuck to him like glue the rest of the night. Usually we don't even go one whole day without seeing each other, so for him to be gone that long is really difficult! When he got home, my brother in law watched the kids while we went to the Outback Steakhouse and had a really awesome time there. The food was absolutely out of this world... I had a prime rib...never actually had that before, and I definitely will again. It was unbelievably tender- I have never had a steak that tender before. I had it medium rare, served with these wonderful garlic mashed potatoes, and grilled shrimp. My husband had a pasta dish with crawfish and shrimp, and we both shared a bloomin onion. Everything was so delicious and we were stuffed by the time we got through.
I can't believe we've already been married 10 years. Today is our anniversary.

Happy Belated birthday Bethany. I am sorry I didn't wish you one yesterday! I knew it was your birthday. It's also my nephew's birthday. Today is your anniversary hmmm? That is wonderful. Today is the anniversary of my husband's and my very FIRST date. That was 15 years ago and we are still going strong.

It sounds like Towoomba Pasta that your husband had - it is my favorite. Its really funny because your husband got what I always get and you got what my husband always gets. We love Outback!
Happy Birthday & Anniversary!!!
