New Dress Pattern
Thursday, while I was grocery shopping at Walmart, I picked up some fabric and a dress pattern I really liked. It's a "NewLook" pattern, #6750.
I had a bit of trouble with the front and had to use the seam stripper to take it apart about 5 times, but eventually I got it right- or at least, I should say "sort of" right. There are still some problems that I hope I won't duplicate next time. (Not the fault of the pattern- I'm still trying to get over the learning curve!).
I really like the way the dress turned out. It is very comfortable, and I love the design. I am going to try to make 2 other dresses using the same pattern.
I would love to start making my own dresses and fill up my closet with them. I have learned a lot through making this dress that will help me on any new ones I try making.

If you're wondering what that thing is behind me on the right, it's our "Sub Sandwich" propane tank. lol
Also, the reason this next picture is slanted is because of how hard it can sometimes be to take a picture of yourself using the self timer, when you don't have a tripod and instead are using a step stool that is placed on top of a lawn chair that is stacked on top of another lawn chair.

I LOVE IT, BETHANY! It looks wonderful! LOL about your self timer pic issues, I understand! Have a wonderful Monday!

I'm so glad you've been inspired! I'll have to visit your blog and see what you've been sewing in the next few days.

My mistake...I just realized you don't have a blog linked to your name!

I finally found those patterns for you!
The bodice pattern that I used for my dress was McCalls 4769. The skirt came from New Look 6824, which is actually a "mix and match" pattern anyway.
