Great List of Blogs
Nichole from Sandy Kisses was kind enough to nominate me with the Brilliante Weblog award!
Thank you, Nichole!

Apparently a 'brilliante weblog' nomination comes with a few rules, which are:
1) Put the logo on your blog.
2) Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4) Add links to those blogs on yours.
5) Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs.
This gives me a great opportunity to share some of the blogs I have been wanting to bring up for a while...there are so many blogs that have given me inspiration over the last couple of years. I can't include all of the ones I love, but here are 7 that I really enjoy:
Tammy's Recipes
My Inspired Heart
Coffee in the Morning
Kim is just full of inspiration. She writes about bulk cooking, canning, cleaning, crafts, dehydrating, decorating, cooking from scratch, being frugal, gardening, homeschooling, organizing, and the list goes on and on and on! I love to read her blog and learn new things and get motivated to start new projects!

Tammy's Recipes
- Not only is Tammy a great cook; she's a wonderful mother with a sweet, humble personality. Tammy posts pictures of her delicious meals each day, along with pictures of her adorable children- and even takes the time to post about her 'disasters', and offers encouragement to women who feel overwhelmed. I am constantly inspired by the new things that she tries out, and soon, I am planning to make her homemade vanilla extract....I thought it was such a great idea! The biggest thing that separates Tammy's site from all of the others is her heart. Did I mention she is a pianist and violinist as well?
- Carla is one of the funniest people I have ever met in my entire life. I laugh hysterically every time she posts something new. Her posts are very short, very witty, and always full of great mommy humor that anyone can relate to. Some of my favorite posts from her were this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one and oh! this one too (okay, I admit it. I love them all). One of her best quotes (in my opinion): "When making scrambled eggs and one uncracked egg tries to make its escape by rolling off the stove, it is never a good idea to try and catch it with your hip."
My Inspired Heart
- I only recently found this blog, run by another Alabama homeschooling mom, Sandra. Her blog is full of great inspiration and some of the most beautiful pictures! Sandra is an excellent photographer. She makes yogurt popsicles with her kids, gets fresh eggs from her chickens each day, makes GORGEOUS little dresses for her girls...and oh you get the picture. She's inspiring (which is why the name of her blog is so appropriate)!
- This delightful blog is run by Debra, a homeschooling mom who is another excellent photographer, caring mother, and has an exceptional talent for knitting. I love reading her tips on natural remedies and healthy foods, her posts about her family, her chickens, her dog, and life on the farm. Debra once sent me these beautiful handmade grocery sacks, which was just so sweet!
- Okay, could there BE a cooler name than "Octamom" for a mother with 8 children?
Octamom is a fabulous graphic designer, which is why she was able to create this scrapbook page with our family photos a couple of months ago. This blog is full of great musings about homeschooling, and hilarious posts that crack me up.
- I love to read Julie's blog. She posts about happenings with her family, at the beach, at home, etc. My favorite is the "funny things" category. I love posts like the haircut post (if you can read this one without laughing, I don't know how!), and this incident with the cable guy (since my hubby is a cable guy, I can imagine he has had visits like this! LOL). Oh, and did I mention, since they live nearby the beach, they have some of the most delicious feasts (I'm so jealous).
