Still Feeling Sick

Sorry I haven't been posting much the last couple of days.  It turns out I WASN'T feeling better, as I thought two days ago...in fact, James and I got to feeling much worse over the last few days, and it turns out we've got "walking pneumonia".    It is miserable, but I went to the doctor today and got some antibiotics...hopefully after James gets off work (yep, he actually went to work), he'll be doing the same and we'll be able to get over this.    We were in bed all day yesterday and we can barely talk at all. I'm mostly thankful that the kids haven't gotten it this bad.

So sorry you are in it for Round2--this sounds so much like what we have had around here--I thought it had run its course--and then it started all over again. 2 of 8 is back sick in bed after having gone through this a week and a half ago.
So glad your kiddos are being so cooperative--prayers from here as well that they don't come up with this stuff
    Blessings!

So sorry you're so sick! Pneumonia is no fun at all. I had it for several weeks in November and it totally wiped me out! Get plenty of rest and take your time getting better. Don't push yourself! Ha! Easier said then done with little ones running around. Praying for you all. Lisa

Make an onion poultice, they really work. My dd struggles with pneumonia occasionally and I get her through it with home remedies. Take a crock pot and put hot water into it to keep it warm for the day. Use a hand towel for your poultice. Dip and wring it in the hot water, place chopped onions inside it like a package. Throw some garlic inif you have it. Fold the edges in or safety pin them and place it directly on your chest. In order to protect your shirt or blanket from gettin wet put another towel on top. Let me know how you like it.

Bethany I am so sorry you guys are sick again... I really hope and pray you get better really soon. Just a little thought to pass a long it seems like you guys suffer a lot with sickness's when we were up I noticed you had a chicken farm around your, am I right about this? If so that can cause a lot of wide disease spread and even the water would be unsafe to drink... just a concern because I wouldn't want you guys to suffer anything really bad.... take care.....

Sorry to hear you guys are still sick. So far, I've been the only casualty here in our house. Which is unusual, but I suppose I'm about due since I've escaped the last couple of bugs that have gone through. Saying a prayer for you guys and hopefully James is able to get to the dr.

    Bethany,

Don't push it with pneumonia otherwise it will get the best of you. I had it earlier this year and I felt worse than when I had the flu and I didn't think anything could have been worse than the flu. I pushed it and went to work and that's probably why it got worse. Tell James he needs to stay HOME! Anyway, hope you get to feeling better and I will certainly be praying for a speedy recovery.

Okay, I was literally going to call you today! However, I'm guessing you probably can't talk on the phone right now! I hope you feel better soon! I love reading your blog about canning things and I made a list to go get the things for the blueberry dessert. It looks great and Anya loves blueberries. Have you ever heard of making yellow pickles? You use older cucumbers. My Irish grandmother used to make these and they were yummy! Hope you feel better soon so we can chat about homeschool, canning, and other things and get to know each other better! Take care. Allison.

I had what they call "summer pneumonia" 5 yrs ago. I was given the Z pack (Zithromax) and it was gone in days.

Last weekend I have a stomach virus. ICK! I don't get sick often but when I do, I'm sickkkkkkk.

I pray you both are feeling well soon! And drink plenty of orange juice.

Thank you SO much for all of the well wishes and suggestions for helping us out. We have finally, finally started feeling somewhat better, thank goodness. I have a lot of housework to catch up on today and some errands to run in town. I hope that you all have a blessed week!
