Apple Butter
Yesterday was an awful, awful day...I'm so glad it's over with!! The entire day, James and I were sick with high fevers, aches and chills. The day never seemed to end, and we were soo miserable. We were fortunate that the kids were really well behaved (and over their part of the sickness!) throughout the day... Noah hummed and played with blocks...Caleb played video games and jumped on the trampoline, and Bonnie played with Noah. They also cleaned the livingroom for us when we asked. We didn't have a problem with them fighting or getting into things at all. I was impressed.
This morning, we just have a bit of a sore throat and some minor aches, but the fevers are gone, and we're doing much better now. Thank goodness!
I went ahead and got the apple butter canned. It turned out terrific!! It tastes just like the apple butter you get at the store, only fresher. I love it!!

Wow that looks awesome!!! It's making my mouth water. Sorry to hear you were so sick, but glad to hear you guys are on the mend. I fear I'm coming down with the same thing which I'm so excited about!!!

Wow!!!! I am so glad that I found your site....we have a few things in common! One of many is our children's names..I have a Caleb, Noah, and the daughter we recently adopted was Bonnie...I liked that name but we felt by God's grace, she was given to us, thus her new name Grace! we also have an Emma...we home school, love God and live our ministry of foster care...

That is such a coincidence that your children all have the same names! I think the name "Grace" was very appropriate for your adopted blessing!

O fresh apple butter is to die for. One of the big drawbacks of Mississippi is apples don't grow well here. I miss fresh apples and apple butter.

I can't believe that you are canning while sick. I need to can more while I am healthy, never would attempt it under the weather. What a good example you are for me!
