Gift Basket from Amy

I was thrilled last week when I entered a contest and actually won a prize!    The contest was at my friend Amy's blog, Blessed Motherhood,  where the goal was to try to name all of the instruments pictured in a post.  Whoever named the most musical instruments won a surprise gift in the mail, and I was lucky enough to know many of the instruments (and was lucky with a few guesses).

The package came today in the mail- a gift basket for the kids- and they loved it!

A basket full of things that make music.

Attached was the note:
Dear James, Bethany, Caleb, Bonnie, and Noah, You will know some of the things in this basket make music just by looking at them. But you can actually make music out of every one of these toys! Can you figure out how? Have fun!

And believe me, they FIGURED OUT HOW!!

Look at all the contents of the box!  What a sweet gift!! We listened to the "Rejoice" CD all afternoon. And I listened to the kids making noise music to go along with it all day!  lol   They were having a blast.

Thanks again, Amy...it was so kind of you to send this gift basket. By the way, I am curious- how do you make music with the silly putty?

What did you think of this article?

Bethany, I would guess "stinker" or (fart) noises.....can you tell I grew up with brothers???? (leaving it in a side of the egg and pushing your finger in to push the air out)

What a neat treat for you and your children!! "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!" That's what they were doing, right?

We are literally ROLLING with laughter!

The idea with the putty egg was that you can use it almost like castanets, and it makes a clopping noise, but I like Alicia's idea as well!!!!
