Family Pictures

Here are some more of the photographs that my sister, Jennifer, took of our family on July 4th!  I think she did a great job posing everyone.  There are about a hundred more, but these are some of the best.

    Hey Miss Bethany--
wanted to make a little something for you over at scrapblog but didn't want to use your images with your persmission--just wanted to create a little thank you for all the great recipes and encouragement. You can see my work at www.scrapblog.com/octamom--I was going to make a scrapblog of your photo shoot that you can embed in your blog or send to friends via email, but again, wanted to respect your ownership of your images. If you'd rather I didn't, that's fine too.
You can email me at octamom@octamom.com
    Blessings!

Aww, what cute pictures! Pictures that capture a perfect pose are beautiful but I happen to favor photos that catch people in a real moment...that show a personality. I love your pictures! Tell your sister she did a fantastic job!

Well here you go, Miss Bethany! The scrapblog is complete and can be viewed here
    http://www.scrapblog.com/viewer/viewer.aspx?sbid=436331

    or by going to www.scrapblog.com/octamom
where it is the first scrapblog in my line-up.
At the end of the scrapblog is an embed code which you can use to embed in a post, should you like. I was also able to include the embed code in a page element on my sidebar. I have a permanent link there for 4 of 8's scrapblog 'Quiet Ballet' about her hearing loss. You'll see it over on the left hand side on www.octamom.com. I'm assuming you would have the same ability on your blog should you want to do the same thing as a family 'slide show'.
Again, thanks for all the great recipes, encouragement and inspiration!
    Blessings!

Hi Bethany! These are really cute pictures. It was nice to meet you. (Remember I met you on Father's Day in the Lowes Parking lot). I'd still love to talk with you some about homeschooling. Do you use a specific program, like Sonlight?

Alison, actually I get many of my books at garage sales, from families that started homeschooling and never went through with it. Usually , I can find really good, and really cheap books, that are brand new and never even written in, at yard sales.

I found Saxon books for 1 dollar each at one yard sale - to buy them new, they are about 60 dollars.

I don't use a specific cirriculum...I have a wide range of books, ranging from Abeka, Bob Jones, Saxon, and the Shirley Method for english.

By the way, that was SO cool to meet you at Lowes! I hope that sometime we'll be able to get together and talk about homeschooling some more. You're more than welcome to call me anytime. My number is listed in the phone book.
