Grocery Shopping for OAMC

Yesterday afternoon, James asked me if I could try to get the list compiled so we could go ahead and do our shopping then.   Well, it ended up taking me several hours, and  I finally had the list ready by about 10:00 at night.   James' brother offered to stay there with the kids while we went shopping, so we headed out and got our shopping done.   We usually go to bed at 10:00, so I know we're going to pay for it later. lol

Here is what our refrigerator looked like after I cleaned it yesterday (Old Mother Hubbard Style):

And here's what it looked like after I finished putting the groceries away:

A great deal of the groceries were not cold items, and went in the pantry:

The only problem I have now is that our heating element in the oven is broken!   I have to buy a new one, but can't do that until tomorrow, because today is Sunday- not to mention Father's day- and nothing is open.

I'll be trying to get the lists ready to post on the blog soon!

Hi Bethany!! I'm so excited you are doing OAMC!!

I noticed you have your eggs on the door. I've read, that's the worst spot to put them. I know they have the little indentations and stuff, but eggs need to stay REALLY cold. And the stuff on the door is subject to getting warm every time you open and close the door. The best things to put on the door are condiments, juices, soda, and water.

Maybe you just put it there for the time being, (since you went shopping so late) but thought I'd pass that along!

I like to shop Saturday mornings, I go there about 7 am. NO ONE is there
best time to go I think!

I LOVE pictures of other people's pantries. I guess it is evidence of their overflow of blessings!
