Still Not Sure...
I've had a few people asking whether I ever found out if I'm pregnant or not.
The reason I've not posted anything new yet is because, unfortunately, I just can't seem to figure it out.
I took 10 tests (when you can buy 10 for the price of 1 at dollar general, I figure "why not") in the last week, and each one, after I take it, starts to turn pink around the area where the line would be (but not in the form of a line- just a big blur of pink) for the first 10-20 minutes. Then, after that, it forms a line there. I have no idea whether this is a false positive or an evaporation line. My suspicion is that it is probably an evaporation line, but I have had a few instances where the line showed up even the next day and I was actually pregnant. That's what makes it puzzling.
By next week, I think I should know for sure one way or the other, I guess!

I didn't mean to make it sound like it was a blessing right now. Just sometimes it can be .... Arg! I'm probably making this worse! Anyways, I'm really praying for you!!!!

If the test you took was one of the older types the pink blur you are seeing should be how you tell if the test is working correctly. If that blur doesn't show up, then you will know the test isn't working. So...if this is the case, then the pink blur should mean the test is working correctly. Since you bought 10 for the price of one, see if there is an experation date on the box. If it is really close to expiring then they are probably the older type tests.
Some people here may completely disagree with me on this, but get an EPT test. That is the brand that most Dr.s offices use because the accuracy is that good. Here is what I found on about.com http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/pregnancytests/gr/epttest.htm

Aww...it's hard waiting and not knowing for sure, isn't it? I'm praying for you...I hope you get the answer you are wanting, but I know that even if you don't it will be okay. God is always on time!
Maybe you should try a different test? Do the dollar store tests work with very little hcg? I know I found a website (peeonastick or something like that) that lists the different tests and the level of hcg needed. Maybe you need a more sensitive test? :0)

I sure hope you are pregnant. It must be driving you nuts. Try not to worry to much about it. (i know this is easier said than done)... I hope you find out soon!

Ah that is frustrating.. I had the same thing this morning with a $1 store test.. exact same reaction.. and I am 99.9% sure I could not be pg this month but im a poas addict and well they are $1.. Giggle

How frustrating! Just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you as you wait for an answer. God knows what you desire in your heart....Hang in there is easier said that done but with God all things ARE POSSIBLE!!.
I have a doctor appointment today (just starting my 2 week visits now) and also to talk about the gestational diabetes. It has been a frustrating week with trying to control how much I eat, testing my blood, and trying to fit in an exercise routine. I feel so deprived when it comes to food right now. I told my husband the way to cure gluttony is to become a diabetic. He laughed but I am not sure if he really understands my frustration.

One of my friends who was active on the "trying to conceive" message boards told me that the common favorite brand was Answer brand tests. They're like First Response only a generic brand, and had good reviews for ease of use and accuracy. They're pricier than Dollar Tree but still less than $7 for 2 of them at Wal-Mart, just in case it might be a help.
Please only count what you see up to 9 min 55 seconds! They mean it when they say you can't count ANYTHING you see (pos or neg) past 10 min! If it looks pink where there should be a pos marker up till 10 min, it sounds promising. I anxiously await updates. Thanks for sharing.

I always have to have a blood test to confirm pregnancy because either the line doesn't show or the line is really faint. By the time I have the blood test at 3- 4 weeks my body is already telling me I'm pregnant by making me sick!

Sweet Bethany! I am praying for you! I bet the dollar store tests are just as accurate as any other. Do you have an appointment with the Dr? This one is going to go beautifully!

Danielle, I will pray that you will find the man you are looking for. God will answer your prayer. Sometimes He doesn't always answer the way we plan it, but He will give us those things we truly need.
Before I met James, I had been praying to God for two years, every night, to please give me a friend that would care about me, and who would always be there for me, and who would accept me for who I am. For two long years I begged God to bring this person into my life.
Then, I met James, and we were friends for a year, and then we realized that God had brought us together, and were engaged, and two years later were married.
