Blueberries

Our blueberry blossoms have fallen off, and the blueberries are beginning to grow. They are so pretty at this stage. I can't wait until they are ripe!

I'm jealous! I love fresh berries. I have to go about an hour away to get to a farm that lets people pay for a bucket and then go out and pick berries. Really fun with the kids. I joke around and tell the farmer that he better not charge for the berry stains on my kids mouths and shirts!

LOL that's too cute, Valerie! i bet your children love going to pick berries there. We have to go to a place about 10 miles from here to pick up strawberries. The kids LOVE going there too! We are going to be planting strawberries around here this year.

Those berries are going to be delicious! I had several bushes last year that gave us a freezer full of berries but at the end of the summer the Island King was using the weedeater around the bed and it got out of control and he messed up the bushes. They don't look like they'll recover but I'm hoping they will.

Oooooh! Lucky! For some reason, I do not like to eat blueberries but I *love* to see the bushes when all those dark shiny berries are just ripe and ready to be picked. It's a satisfying sight.
