Bonnie's Baby Doll
While I've been sick, I have been working on a baby doll for Bonnie. It's finally finished. I painted the eyes with acrylic paint, and the necklace too.
Bonnie named the doll "flowers" because she has flowers on her dress.

She's so cute. Did you buy hair already made or did you just use yarn? It came out beautifully.

Thanks, Angie. It is just yarn!

Oh, and for the bangs, I unraveled the threads, and that made it look curly.

What a sweet doll! And how kind of you to make it for her even though you are sick, too.

Thank you so much, Vicky and Deezie! I had a rag doll book from which I got the pattern for the arms and legs, and body. But the rest was all just playing by ear.

I think I might name this lovely, cuddly pal "Raggedy Bethany" ... who was created from love ... like Raggedy Anne was created in literature by a loving Dad for his little girl! Poor sick Bethany probably felt a tad "raggedy" by the time this hug-baby was ready for her Bonnie!

Marjorie Campbell, that was so sweet!!
I am going to read that to Bonnie, and she will probably appreciate it as well.
