Homemade Cover for my Sewing Table

I saw something that inspired me on the Craftzine website....someone had covered a table to make it a tent for their child. I thought that it looked so cute, and since I have been wanting to make a cover for my sewing table (to hide the boxes of fabric behind) I thought this was the perfect idea to go with.  I created some little flowers and a door and window, and voila!    Isn't it cute? I haven't sewn it on yet...it's actually just pinned right now. But I'll be sewing it soon.

Bethany, is your sewing table a regular folding table like you would use for a buffet? That is what mine is and I hadn't thought of making such a pretty skirt for it. It looks just great.

That is too cute! I think we have the same sewing machine, too! I wish I had an actual sewing table - I have to lug my machine back and forth from my bedroom to the kitchen table. Maybe I'll make a nice cover to put on the table when I sew! It'll cover the mess I usually make when I toss all the strings and scraps under the table. The kids don't like when I make them clean that up. LOL

Gena, yes, it is just a regular folding table!
If you make one for yours, please let me know. I'd love to see it!
