Pincushion
I was needing a pincushion today (my kids keep taking the tomato ones), and I found a great tutorial online...these things are super simple to make!
Here is the tutorial, if you'd like to make one for yourself:

And here is the pincushion. Isn't it cute?
Finally, a use for some of the buttons I have laying around. I think I will make a few of these and give them away for Christmas.

I made a pincushion for my stepmom, who is teaching me how to sew. I wanted to make it personal, and the only fabric I had was green- then I remembered she loves frogs- voila: http://laskaferret.blogspot.com/2007/03/just-one-more-for-today.html
