Winner of the Fall Y'all Bloggy Giveaway!
After what seems like forever, it is finally time to announce the winner of the Pencil Portrait giveaway!
(Portrait Example)
I looked through the numbers about three - four different times, to make sure I didn't make a mistake.... If I did, by chance, make a mistake though, and you had a number that was closer to the number than the winner I post, then I will give you a free pencil portrait too. I think that I have got it right, but you never know!
The number of beans in the bowl (yes, I counted each and every last one of them!) was 1,005!
The person with the closest number was Rachel, who posted many different numbers over a couple of weeks:
450 was her first guess...
then 979,
526,
626,
989,
999,
then finally.....
1,009! She was within 4 digits of the actual number.
Give Rachel a hand and congrats for coming so close!!

The only part of this I hate is knowing that I can't give everyone the prize!! I used to run an online baby contest, and I hated that part then too. Because of that, I always gave consolation prizes to those who did not win.
Well, I may not be able to send everyone something tangible, but I can offer you a little something that you may be able to use. Here is what I can offer you:

It's very generous of you to give away a drawing that you will put so much of your time and heart into. Too bad my bowl wasn't quite like yours. I did count the beans in my soup bowl, and I thought it'd be a comparable size, but mine had 752 beans.

Congratulations! What a great prize to have for many years to come. How awesome is this! I am just sad that I just found this site today and missed the contest!
