Great Article on Getting Children to Help with Housework
Tammy wrote an excellent post Friday, about getting your children to help out around the house with a cheerful attitude, and how you can work right alongside them without getting exhausted.
Tammy has such a bright and positive attitude when she writes, is obviously a wonderful mother, and she has really gotten me motivated again to get the children to do their fair share around the house, and also for me to be more of a role model, working alongside them as they work. (Many times I can be tempted to just tell them to go into their own rooms to clean, while I am doing something else.... and I do the major cleaning while they are asleep or outside playing, instead of doing it while they are awake and with me).
I'm going to print Tammy's article out and put it on my refrigerator so I can refer to it over and over. Please read this article...I hope it will be helpful to you as well!

Working Alongside Your Children

Hi Bethany,
I think you have such a positive attitude, too - and you are a role model for me, really. It is always uplifting reading your blog every morning. You have to look after the children, you homeschool your children, you are drawing, sewing, cooking etc. And the best of all, you do it in a cheerful way. Do you know the saying of St. Therese (of Lisieux): "God loves a joyful giver!" And she also said - one of my favorites - "Do small things with great love."
Btw. I found an interesting book about Christian lifestyle (we talked about it), perhaps you know it: E. George, "A woman´s high calling - 10 essentials for Godly living".

It's not a saying it's from the Bible. 2 Cor 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give not grudingly, or of necessity, for God lovetha cheerful giver.
