So Much to Do, So Little Time!
Random thoughts on my mind....
Do you ever just feel like there are too many things to get done? I wish there was just more time in a day. I have so many things to do and just don't know if I'll ever get caught up! Lots of emails to respond to, homeschooling to get started, cleaning up the tornado wreck of a house, need to run some errands in town, need to send out cards to some people, have two drawings to do, a dress to sew that's half completed, a teddy bear that's half sewn, a few laundry baskets that are piled high, comments on this blog I need to respond to, kisses and hugs and tickles from the kids to attend to (these are always spontaneous), baby shoes to make for my cousin who is having a baby shower soon, gotta figure out what to make for dinner, there is a phone call I need to make, and a design to come up with for a book cover, need to get in the shower and get dressed before I even think of doing any of this. lol
Every night I write down things I need to do, so that I don't forget. I'm too scatterbrained to remember everything myself. I hope I'm not the only one who does this.
Oh by the way, Caleb just brought me something a minute ago. It was a piece of a sub roll bread, stuffed with something brown. I just asked him what it was, and he said, it was a treat for me. He said that he put warm chocolate inside it. I told him thank you! That is so sweet of you to do that. He wanted to know if I like it. Oh yes, I love it, I said. That was so sweet of you. Then I told him that he needed to get his language book out and get started... lol It really was a such sweet thought, just kind of ...well, I don't know if I could eat it. haha I don't know if that makes me a bad mom or not. :S I hope he knows that I really, really appreciated the gesture.

Here is a picture:

Oh! And Bonnie lost her first tooth this morning!

In case you can't tell from the picture, it is her bottom left incisor.
Well, guess I need to get up and get this day started.
Have a great day!

If it helps, a common French childhood treat is a chocolate croissant (Pan au Chocolat), croissant dough wrapped around chocolate.

hehe JJ, that does help actually!
Maxime, thanks so much! I think she lost her tooth after it came out, but I gave her a basket full of necklaces that a nice lady gave me the other day. She loved that!

When my kids bring me thoughtful but thoroughly unappealing treats (some bit of food they have pawed and slobbered on already), I usually offer to share it with all of them. They are delighted and proceed to divide it amongst themselves.
And it's not only totally normal to write down your to-do list, it's the FlyLady way!

Ah, good idea, Sarah! I will have to try that next time. They are always bringing me something new! lol

It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it.
