Contest to Win Free Pencil Portrait

It finally occurred to me how to run the contest (to win a free pencil portrait from my other website, Sketchesbybethany.net)

This will be a way that anyone,  mother of children, or not, crafty or not,  etc,  can enter.

I have a bowl full of dried pinto beans here:

For those of you who couldn't tell how large the bowl is, here is a picture of the bowl (emptied) with a measuring tape...hopefully this will help!  Thanks!




This bowl is an average sized soup bowl.   I do not know how many beans are in this bowl, but in exactly one month, I will be counting them to see how many there are.

Your job is to guess how many beans are in the bowl!

You can guess 1 time every DAY, until the contest is over.  This means that each person can have up to 30 chances to win!   The person with the closest number wins.

You MUST include a valid email address, so that if you win, I can notify you. 

If it happens that two people were exactly as close to the number, I will try to figure out something to use as a tiebreaker.

I hope this works for everyone... I have more gifts that I'd like to giveaway but I think I will just do it one at a time.

Tip: One way that you can remember to check back on the day, is to go to www.free-minder.com. You can enter the date you want to remember, and freeminder will send you an email to let you know, up to a week in advance.   I use this all the time to remember things I need to remember. They will not spam you!
