Jenni's Aprons
From Jenni, a good friend and commenter on this blog:
"I was inspired by Ms. Bethany to make the girls a couple aprons-
For Courtneys I used a left over quilt square that I had and turned it into a pocket and put a C on it. Don't know if I like the C on it or not. But she loved it.
Emily's was left over material from a play skirt that I made for them. Added a little pocket and some lace at the top. She loved it also. They both wore them all night. So now I just need to find some material for the boys cause they still wear the frilly ones that the girls used to have.
And for those of you that don't sew- I did all this with fabric glue, although I am going to get my machine out and sew the ties so they are more sturdy. But other than that it was very wasy.
Thanks for the idea Bethany! I didn't know how or if I could post the pics in your blog so I put them here- you can transfer them over if you can."
I think Jenni did such a great job with these aprons...they are so colorful and creative!

I never wore an apron, nor has anyone in my family.
I guess I don't see the need, I never got anything on me, that I couldn't get out. I still would have to wash something whether it be an apron or shirt.
Oh well. They are cute at least.

Love, love, LOVE these! So cute - and a great tip about gluing them!
I grew up in a family that didn't wear aprons. For my job, though, we wore lab coats. I can definitely see the advantage to having a "covering" to protect your clothes. I am going to make matching mother/daughter ones when my little girl gets bigger!

Amy, I can relate!....I have made some clothes that ended up being way too small for me...or way too big. It's really difficult to get it right! I have many failed projects, I just usually don't post them LOL! Luckily, this apron that Jenni made, was made with glue, and not sewing, so it might be easier to work with, if you wanted to try it! Thanks for commenting!
Tia, oh you should try it! Aprons are so much fun! Even if you don't have a use for them, they just look so plain cute, they make you feel nice (I love vintage ones because they make me feel like I've stepped back in time)!
Vicky, I think the glue is a great idea too! Your little girl will love the matching mother/daughter ones when she gets older.

LOL, you are so cute Bethany! I just throw a towl over my shoulder, I don't like gunk on my hands either. Especially dealing w/raw meat. I haven't ventured into bread making. I haven't even rolled out dough! Seems a little scarey to me!
I will admit sometimes I will put a towl under my wasistband, since half the time the towel never stays on my shoulder!
Aprons are cute...maybe I will try one!

ha~ I've never thought to have a towel on my shoulder. It would come in handy too!

How do I get the patterns? Do you have patterns for little children?
I too am a Christian and Love the Lord He is the greatest.
Thanks, Verna
