Blood levels again
I am very relieved. Yesterday, I called the doctor, because I had been looking up information on the subject, and it looks like baby aspirin is supposed to be helpful for those who have antinuclear antibodies in their blood, to prevent miscarriage.
I asked if I should taking the aspirin, and they said that the levels probably weren't high enough to need to do that. So I asked what the exact levels were. They were 1:40, which apparently is the borderline level. Anything below 40 is supposed to be normal, and anything 40 and above is supposed to be elevated.
So with that information, I know that it could possibly be a virus (my husband and I have been having a stomach virus this last week) that caused the antibodies to rise, and could have messed the results up. They could be normal after all! So next month when I go to get my results, I'll see if they go up or down. This gave me hope that they may be normal after next month....at least, I'm not going to worry about it anymore until then.
I have to say though, there are so many sweet, thoughtful and caring ladies out there who emailed me and posted supportive comments, and I just wanted to let you know how much you all mean to me. To know that you're all out there to support me if something happens....it feels like I have an extended family. Thanks for always being so kind and considerate!

SO glad to hear this. While Lupus is a manageable thing, it can be scary at times!! Praying everything stays in the normal range for you!

Dear Bethany,
I wrote you a long email about my experiences a while back (I posted then under my real name, but now I'm switching to my nickname for privacy sake, because I found that my post was available when I did a google search of my name)
I am the one who has a clotting disorder. They are not sure which one I have yet and are retesting my blood. I see the hemotologist tomorrow and hopefully I'll get more answers. The doctor has said that our blood is extremely complex. One thing that I've learned about this is that new things are still being discovered about our bodies all of the time, and especially regarding our blood.
I am very glad that your doctor is following this. I believe that since you already have children that what ever is causing this might be very subtle, or just developing. That would explain your
borderline test of 40. Your loses might not have anything to do with this, perhaps they were sad coincidental instances that won't happen the next time. It's good that your doctor is looking into things, but remember that God is in control and has a plan. When I think about of all of the things that can go wrong with between conception and birth I am amazed that so many babies are born healthy.
I pray that God will send you another baby since that is your heart's desire.
take care
Ginny
if you want more information about some of the blood disorders, you can visit clotcare.com. I know that you are not having a problem with clotting, but this site is really worthwhile.

Ginny, thanks so much for all the information, the website link (I will definitely check it out!) and for your kind comments. I always appreciate your comments. By the way, if you would like me to go back and edit your comments from the past, so that they won't show up in the search engine anymore, let me know by sending me an email, and I'll take care of it right away.

Hi Bethany. I saw you used my old Terri Schiavo posts on the Nutrition and Hydration post on Jill Stanek's web site recently.
Good for you!
I'm glad to know that my posts are good for something.
Janice Sanford's Forum is good if want more information about the case:
