Copycat Popeye's Biscuit Recipe
I promised a commenter a couple of weeks ago that I would try out the Popeye's Biscuit Recipe I posted a link to right here.
I finally tried it last night.... They turned out wonderful. Very light, very soft, very sweet and buttery. They were so good with the Hamhock flavored beans we had.

Here is the imitation recipe for Popeye's Biscuits:
BISCUITS
My note: Spread butter and sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on the tops of them to enhance the flavor.

Here is the imitation recipe for Popeye's Biscuits:
BISCUITS
www.geocities.com/Heartland/Village/9553/popeyes.html2 cups Bisquick
2 tbsp. sour cream
1/2 cup club soda
1 tsp. sugar
Mix ingredients together well until smooth. Dip hand into a bit
more Bisquick, and knead dough until elastic. Shape into 4
biscuits, about 1" thick, place close together in a greased
baking pan. Bake at 450f about 18 to 20 minutes or until
golden brown and doubled in size.
Cool in pan or rack 10 minutes.
My note: Spread butter and sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on the tops of them to enhance the flavor.
