To do list
I need to get caught up on some housework today. Here is my to-do list today....I hope I can get it all done!:
Kitchen:
Clean the dishes
Sweep the floor and clean it
Clean the appliances
Wipe down cabinets and drawers
Clean the counter and tabletop thoroughly
Clean sink
Bathroom:
Clean bathtub
Wipe down counter
Clean toilet
Remove dirty clothes
sweep floor
Livingroom:
Straighten up
Vacuum
Hallway:
Pick up toys
Put away clothes
Laundry:
Wash 2 loads, dry and put away
Trash:
Empty trash and take it out
Set timer and find as much trash in the house as you can, anywhere, in 10 minutes

You know whats a good way to make your house smell really really clean? This is what I do:
I have this orange stuff called Fabulouso and it has a really strong, fresh scent...Smells almost like dryer softening sheets or something. I love the smell. I use it on a rag and wash down every wall and door and cabinet and floor in the house with it. It makes the whole house smell so CLEAN!
Pinesol is good too!

Have you ever heard of "Magic trash" I don't know how well this would work in a house, but I have certainly done it in a classroom. You pick out a piece of trash anywhere in the room. You then say "i see some magic trash whoever picks it up gets a special treat" my students, usually young i won't be doing this with my 7th graders, they GO NUTS!

Jennifer, that sounds like a great cleaner...does it smell like the orange 409? I like the smell of that.
Jm, I have never heard of that! That is a really cool idea. What I usually do is I set the alarm, give both of the older kids a bag, and tell both of the kids to see who can get their bag the fullest before the timer goes off. Whoever's bag is the fullest, wins!
