I'm back!
I'm back!! We left Sunday morning, and went to the beach-- Panama City!!!
We had so much fun.... here are some pictures from the time we had - I think we needed this vacation!
(P.S. Thank you all for the sweet, sweet comments you left while I was away. I hope all of you are having a good week.)

Here's the back porch of our hotel room.... I've never stayed right on the beach before...it was so pretty to wake up to.

Entering the beach:

The beautiful waves and sky:

The kids, all looking at the beach for the first time the day we arrived:

I just thought I'd be creative here:

James, Bonnie, and me:

Caleb LOVES the ocean waves!

A shot of all five of us...I had a tripod set up and did the self timer so we could all fit in the picture:

A jellyfish that washed up on the shore. We didn't touch it, to be cautious, but I found out later by looking it up that it is a harmless Jellyfish called "Blue Button". Isn't it amazing? We also saw many that look like clear blobs of jelly on the beach floor. They are called "moon jellyfish" and also cannot sting humans. Good thing, because there were LOTS of them the second day.

Me and Noah investigating a shell:

We went many places after the three days at the beach.... then, as we were heading towards home, we stopped at more places... This place was pretty:

I love the bridge in the background!

Here are some pictures of Noah and Daddy after a long day at the beach!

Here's another pretty place we stopped at:

Other places we went: Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum and The Naval Aviation Museum
Now, I'm off to get a nap, because I am tired...what a wonderful, fun week!!!

It looks like you had a fun relaxing time! You sure needed it. You have a beautiful family Bethany!
I want three kids some day. My current boyfriend, who will hopefully be my husband sometime, only wants two. I sure hope I can convince him otherwise! hehe

Jm, I am glad to see you here before you left for Arizona. I wanted to wish you a safe and happy trip!
Thanks for the compliments, and I hope that one day you will be able to talk your fiance into three when you get married. When I first got married, I didn't think I'd ever be able to talk my hubby into more than 2! Now, he's finally open to any that come our way!
Anyway, have a great trip to Arizona!!!

I'm glad you were able to have such a delightful holiday, Bethany. I' hopeful that you are all nice and rested and ready to get back into the swing of things, but I know from experience that sometimes you need a holiday to get over the holiday! Anyways, I'm glad you're back. I've missed your posts.

Bethany,
I'm so glad you had a good vacation. I love Panama City - the water is so clear and the beach is so white.
Your pictures were beautiful. Ease back into your "normal" life. It takes a few days to get back into the swing of things!

The pics are absolutely beautiful! What type of camera do you use? I just bought my first digital camera but I think it needs the shutter speed adjusted or something, when I take the pisture it takes a couple seconds before it actually anaps the pic. So what I intended to take a pic of may not be what I actually got a pic of. Any advise? Maybe someday I will get some pic half as beautiful as yours and I will be happy.

I have the annoying delay on my camera too... what I do to take a good picture is:
#1: make sure there is a very good light source, and then turn the flash off. An open window is VERY good light source if you are inside.
#2: Don't use the flash unless you absolutely have to.
#3: Hold down the button to take the picture, but only hold it down halfway, till you hear the first "beep". This is the sound it makes when it focuses. Then, wait until you are ready to take the picture, push it down the rest of the way, and there will be no delay. It's my way around the delay, since I know of no other way.
You're doing the macro, make sure that you have your hands supported with something, so they don't tremble. Any amount of trembling can cause a blur. Hold the camera steady, and get close to the object you want to photograph, and hold down the button until you hear the "beep"...then when you are ready, click the button, and the picture will take well. As long as there is a good light source.
That's all the information I know of...the camera that I am using is a 7.1 megapixel Canon powershot A550 camera. I got it for 200.00 at Office max.
Hope this helps!

Thank You Bethany! I never knew about turning the flash off, I will see if that helps the pics turn out better. Thanks so much for your time and knowledge!
