Magnolia blossoms

One of the most beautiful flowers, in my opinion, is the magnolia blossom.
I look forward to seeing them every year.

Today, Bonnie saw one up in a tree that she wanted me to get down.... I got it, and before giving it to her, I had to take a couple of pictures.     I could stare at them for hours... they are just so pretty....and amazing.

And don't forget that absolutely heavenly fragrance! One magnolia blossom will make the entire house smell so wonderful. It is one of my favorite smells on earth.

    Beautiful picture, by the way.

Thank you! No, I haven't ever taken pictures professionally.... I kind of look at other pictures that inspire me, and try to imitate ..it's really not too hard to take them like this if you have a macro setting and a really good light source (mine was outside light).

You have a macro setting on your camera? I am so jealous! What kind of camera do you have by the way?

Click the link to see more information about the camera...it's actually very affordable!
I would love to have a super macro, so I could take these types of pictures though:

I think my sister is going to get a Powershot, possibly not that exact model but close. I wish I had a macro lens for my DSLR but its too pricey

There is a trick I've heard some people say you can make a macro lens by flipping over your regular lens but I haven't gotten it to work yet.

Well if I knew how to take the lens out, I would sure try it!
I know so little about cameras ....I didn't even KNOW you could buy a macro lens separate from the camera! haha

O, don't try to take the lens out of your powershot! I'm pretty sure those aren't supposed to come out. I was talking about my single lens reflex camera, those have interchangable lenses, but they are way more expensive.

lol I figured it was probably a different type of camera. I would really ruin my camera if I took the lens out of it! lol
I'd love to get a really nice camera one day. Maybe when all the kids are grown and I don't have to worry about it getting smashed.
    (I'm on my 5th camera since 2002.)

Hmmm....5 cameras in as many years...that's not a good track record. LOL

It comes with a strap that helps guard against dropping, and I find it easier to hold onto than smaller point and shoots.
