We got the shopping done today!

This afternoon, my mother in law offered to watch Noah and Caleb for me, while I went grocery shopping.  Bonnie wanted to go with me,  so we had a kind of "mommy and daughter" only day.    She loved the extra attention.

It took two separate buggy trips to the store before I was able to get everything.  Bonnie helped me unload the items while we were checking out:

And here is what the back of the car looked like when we were finished shopping:

My fridge is not empty anymore!

Neither is the pantry...

....or the kitchen table...

First, I went ahead and cooked 5 pounds of ground beef in the oven on 350 for about 15 minutes....it is so much quicker and easier to cook the beef this way than in the frying pan!

Before:

15 minutes later- done...

After this, I went ahead and put the chickens and the pot roast in the oven (they're almost done now):

And I also put the pork roast in the crock pot...it'll cook all night, until it's nice and tender:

And for the last couple of hours, I have been crying onion tears.....

More to come tomorrow!

I know all about onion chopping! You should buy one of those mini food processors. I can put one onion (chpped in half) in at a time and have it chopped in 10 sec. The best part is they only cost about $7.00 (at a discount store in Ohio called Marcs)!!

Roxanne, thank you so much for the tip! I thought about getting one of those but forgot till it was too late! I will have to remember next time because those onion tears are painful!

Thank you, Brandy, and Ms Paradis!
