My kitchen "before" pictures
I spent all day and this morning deep cleaning the kitchen. It's so difficult to cook a month's worth of food with a dirty kitchen...and yesterday it was very cluttered and messy. Now I finally feel free to go to do the shopping and get started. The kitchen is nice, clean, and ready to go! (I wish it was ALWAYS this clean!!!!)

And another angle:

And the angle that shows the mural I'm working on (still got a long way to go!):

Oh, and if you're wondering about the poles in the middle of the room...I do wish they weren't there, but several years ago, a tree had fallen on the house, and I believe these beams were put up to help support the roof once they rebuilt it. I could be wrong, but I think that's what I was told about them.

Bethany, Your kitchen looks wonderful!
I have never cooked for the entire month. I do cook big batches of food for the freezer. It makes my life much easier.
Good luck with your cooking and have a wonderful Mother's Day!
