So exhausted!
These last few days I have been SO tired.....and wow, what a headache...it keeps coming and going. Right now, it seems to be doing ok, but yesterday and the day before it was pounding so badly I couldn't stand it. I had to take some ibuprofin to get it under control. And wow, can a headache amplify kids noises or what? I feel like I've been such a grouch lately! lol
I have a feeling the headache and tiredness has something to do with the allergens in the air now. Hopefully it won't last too much longer!
This week, James finally got motivated to do something he's wanted to do for a long time--- he's started building a canoe! I'm so happy he finally got the inspiration he needed to get started!
Here's a picture of him starting (Saturday morning):

And here's a picture of the mold, ready to make the canoe over, which he had finished by Sunday!:

I can't wait to see this finished!
It's going to be beautiful....
....too bad this is just the mold!
Last night, I made some Angel food cake...it sure turned out delicious!! Here is a picture of my piece, right after I poured the chocolate sauce over it... Yummy!

1 and 3/4 cups egg whites
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 and 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp almond
1 and 3/4 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Just dump all the ingredients together ,and whisk till really well blended...and pour into a greased cake pan, cook for 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Very simple, and VERY delicious!

Looks great! Can you tell me what size pan you used? 9x13? Thanks!

I used one of those square cake pans...I think it was 9"x 9" but I might be wrong

That looks so good, and it has been forever since I have had angel food cake. Yummy!
How cool that James is making his own canoe. Do you all have a lake nearby?

Yes, there are a bunch of lakes nearby!

Bethany,
Your cake looks so yummy! My family loves angel food cake and I LOVE the fudge sauce!
Aren't you proud of your hubby for building that canoe? That is pretty amazing.
I've had a headache for about a week, too. I've been adding one sudafed to my ibuprofen tablets. It seems to help a little bit with the allergy headaches. Hope you feel better.

Thank you, Gena! Oh yes, I am really proud of my husband for doing this!
Thank you for the tip about sudafed...I might have to try that soon because the allergies get pretty bad later in the season!
