Very touching email

I received a very touching email today in my inbox, and I asked for permission to post it.   I just wanted to share this woman's story, for those of you who can relate.    (((hugs)))

Hi Bethany,

You don't know me!  But isn't that the case a lot these days.  I linked to your website a couple of weeks ago from Tammy's recipes (we love the Italian herb bread, by the way).

I just wanted to tell you how much I have appreciated your posts about your miscarriage.  It is a very difficult thing to go through and I really admire the strength and courage you have to share that with other women in such a sweet, reverent manner.  Just over six years ago I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, and it was completely devastating to me--we had been trying to get pregnant for several years.  I kept the whole thing to myself, and only my husband knew what was happening, until MUCH later, when I learned that it is can be a real weakness to rely on oneself for too long.  I also never saw the baby, and I didn't realize until I saw your sweet picture that it probably would have helped me to find closure and begin to heal.  Notwithstanding the loneliness I felt then, I did know that the Lord was with me through it all, and the experience became a bringer of great joy as we turned later to adoption and were able to bless our family in a very wonderful way!  We went on to have more children after the adoption and now have a beautiful family of five, each of them a miracle.

Reading your posts struck me with the importance of following our hearts and dealing with the tragedies and hardships we experience in a way that will be most meaningful to US, regardless of how many people say "oh, that happens to lots of women" or "you are being too sensitive" or any of the thoughtless things people pass on.  I love the way you and your husband planted those trees and the special oasis you created from something that could have become a well of bitterness.  Thank you for your faith and for in some measure helping my heart to continue healing after all these years.  We never forget those little ones who do not actually join our families.  I believe that as you watch those trees grow, you will always remember this opportunity to grow in God through trial and faith.

Bless you!
Roslyn
