Sculpting a baby

I finally found my camera!!  It was beside my bed...I found it while flipping our mattress! lol

Remember how I said I wanted to sculpt a little bitty baby?  Well I did it...and it's not nearly as good as the ones on the site I posted earlier, but it is my first.     I am planning to heat it (as soon as I buy the toaster oven) to harden it, and then paint it so that ithat it will look more realistic.  I'll also be making her a little diaper and maybe a Bonnet....its taken me a week to do what you see here:

I'll be posting more of this baby once it is finished....I may even sew a baby bed for it. LOL
Can you tell I've got babies on the mind?

What did you think of this article?

For more babies you have got to check out this canadian artist - she makes minature babies out of clay and marzipan - they are adorable and lifelike http://www3.telus.net/camilleallen/camilleallen/camille_allen5.htm
I like your blog too - it's very nice.

Thank you for the link, Patty!...Camille is truly a talented sculptor...I would love to be able to create a clay baby that looked as natural as hers!

Thanks also for visiting my blog!

You have so much talent! This baby is so precious. I went to Camille Allen's site. It mentioned that the babies are not made of marzipan. Here is the url.
http://www.camilleallen.com/ I thought you might need to know if you ever try sculpting another baby.

She's amazing! I've never tried sculpting, but if I ever do, this is exactly the type of subject I would want to sculpt. I adore those mini-babies. And the big ones.
