Italian herb bread
I really wanted to make a loaf of bread today, so finally decided on making Italian Herb Bread. Here is the recipe:
Bethany's Italian Herb Bread
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 1/2 tbsp yeast
4 tsp melted butter or oil
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp dried basil leaves
2 tbsp thyme
1 tbsp minced garlic
4 cups all purpose unbleached flour
1 egg, for glaze
It was almost unbearable waiting for the dough to rise...it smelled tantalizing! But the kids and I waited it out and were just able to enjoy the bread a few moments ago.
Here are some pictures of the bread as it was being prepared.
Punched down after the first rising:

The second rising:

After they were rolled out and shaped into loaves...then I used a knife to cut slices on the top:

One of the loaves was gone within 5 minutes of this picture being taken!

Oh my goodness! Your bread looks absolutely DELICIOUS! My daughter and I said at the same time, "Ooh, we're definitely gonna have to make some of that!"

Hi there! I'm just a lurker on your wonderful blog (congrats on the possible pregnancy by the way!)
I have never baked bread before, but this Italian bread looks wonderful. How long to you let it rise and how long do you put it in the oven for.
We try not to eat too much bread in our household, but I'm dying to try this!!!

This was really good!I cut the recipe in half seeing that you had two loafs.Next time I will do the whole recipe.I didn't think it would fit in the bread machine but it will.Yeah!Thanks for sharing it!Loved it!

Ms Paradis, I'm sorry that I forgot to mention that I had doubled the recipe for the bread in the picture above!
They still are pretty big loaves, so half a loaf probably isn't so bad, but I just wanted to let you know. I think that a normal loaf of bread takes about 1 cup of water. So if you see a recipe with 2 cups of water, you know it will make about 2 loaves of bread. Hope that helps!

There are no actual instructions on the preparation for this bread. The less experienced bread makers may appreciate some further instructions. Do you throw it all in together or do you bloom your yeast? When do you add the melted butter?

I guess that there is not a good idea to write the college essay by your own efforts! As for me, this would be easier to order the biography term paper from custom sociology essays service, just because that can save free time.
