Finally finished after three days of work
My husband and I were talking the other day about Calvin and Hobbes.... we're all fans of Calvin and Hobbes here--it's one of the funniest comics out there. We have all the books, and even Caleb is a huge fan of the book and reads it all the time. I think Caleb had said he wished he had a Hobbes toy like Calvin. Well, I decided to make one....but wasn't sure how to do it.
You can't buy a hobbes toy at the store because the writer of Calvin and Hobbes did not license toys to be made and sold of his "babies".
I looked online and couldn't find anyone who had a pattern for a Hobbes toy, so I had to design my own little pattern. I cut out about 10 pieces of paper with different pieces which would go together to make the toy.
It took me three days to cut the material, and put it all together...the hardest part was actually the face...and stuffing the arms! It was a LOT harder than I expected....but I think it turned out allright!
Isn't he cute?
My hubby has claimed him for his own LOL ... I don't know if he and Caleb will share yet or not.
haha

I can't see the pictures. I have added the site to the safe list so it should allow pictures. Is anyone else having this problem?
