Today it was payday!  And it has been 1 month since we did our Once a Month cooking. (We still have about 8 meals in the freezer!)  

 I went and picked up our paycheck and went grocery shopping with the new list I made (in case any of you haven't seen it, it's located here).

I only spent 334.00 and that is for the whole month, lunches, dinners, everything!   (Except for the milk and bread we will of course have to buy per week). I even got diapers and printer ink and a few other miscellaneous things with that amount!  For a family of 5, I think we're doing good!

If I had stuck to the list without buying anything else, it would have actually probably been about 240.00 for the whole month.   Of course, that would have only been dinners though.

It wasnt NEARLY as overwhelming shopping today, because I did the planning work myself, and made sure to categorize all the ingredients...and wasn't making meals for a family of 12 this time (last time I was following a OAMC shopping list from a mother of 10! What was I thinking? LOL)

I'm looking forward to getting started with the prep work tomorrow!   I'll keep you all posted with pictures!!

I'm off to clean the kitchen!
